Healthy hair care starts from the roots, or rather from the scalp. After the extremely popular Fenugreek and Rosemary lotion against hair loss, Olival's experts have therefore created two more novelties for targeted scalp treatment care. Neem lotion against dandruff is intended for scalp care where dandruff, flaking and accompanying itching occur, while Hamamelis lotion is intended for scalps that are excessively oily. The main question is – how to use these lotions and how (and when) to combine them with the already beloved Fenugreek? Keep reading for details!

 Solve your priorities first.
If there are several scalp problems, it is necessary to do a kind of "triage" and start with priority care. In the case of dandruff, flaking, itching, and at the same time oily hair and hair loss, it is first necessary to calm the phenomenon - dandruff, flaking and itching. Such phenomena contribute to an imbalance of the scalp, which at that moment can secrete sebum more intensively, and hair loss can also occur. So, we start with Neem lotion against dandruff. In this case, it is best to reduce the routine to a minimum. Lotion, adequate shampoo and hair length care will be enough.
It is important to reiterate the following: Olival scalp lotions are formulated and tested to be applied before washing your hair . They can be used by both women and men (as long as they are not for sensitive children's scalps). Each of the lotions is applied in the same way. It is applied to the scalp with an applicator, massaged well for at least 5 to 10 minutes, and then left to sit for half an hour to several hours. More advice - if the goal is hair growth, massaging should be part of your daily routine, regardless of whether you wash your hair or use lotion.
Balance your scalp before stimulating growth
The active ingredient in Neem lotion is, of course, neem extract, but also jujube and piroctone olamine. Neem has numerous properties. Native to India, every part of this tree has a specific value – from flowers, fruit and seeds to twigs, sap and roots. Leaf powder is usually used in care. You will often see piroctone olamine in anti-dandruff shampoos, but since shampoos only stay on the scalp for a few minutes, it is much more effective to apply the lotion. This reliable active ingredient is indispensable in treatment products intended to alleviate and prevent dandruff and flaking of the scalp. Jujube extract comes from the bark of the tree, which is naturally rich in numerous vitamins and saponins. It promotes scalp balance and contributes to thorough care of problematic scalps.
It's a good idea to try to find the cause of dandruff.
Dandruff can be caused by a number of factors, which we will discuss in more detail in this article. One possibility, and quite common, is the occurrence of seborrhea of the scalp, when flakes of skin appear on the edges of the scalp, on the entire scalp, but also on the eyebrows and even around the nose, dryness, discomfort in the form of itching. In this case, make sure to adjust the rest of your care to the situation. If you continue to use oils on your scalp, you will continue to feed the yeast, so unfortunately, there will be almost no progress with the lotion.

Don't forget to wash your hair often enough
If the dandruff has disappeared and the hair is greasy, it is time for the Hamamelis anti-grease lotion. Witch hazel, or witch hazel, is an interesting plant with many beneficial effects. It has an astringent effect and narrows the pores, which is why it often finds its place in cosmetics for problematic skin, and its effect is due to its antioxidant potential. Salicylic acid is the gold standard for the care of problematic skin on the face and scalp. It is known for its comedolytic action, i.e. preventing and mitigating the appearance of comedones. Otherwise, it helps alleviate the appearance of acne, and in scalp care it is used for scalps prone to oiliness and clogged pores.
In Croatian, cimicifuga is also known as clustered habulica or "silver candle". Interestingly, it helps relieve menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and increased sweating. No less important is the seboregulating effect that is why it is included in this product. Niacinamide or vitamin B3 is a multifunctional ingredient that works on numerous skin specificities. It provides a soothing and hydrating effect, but also affects the balance of sebum secretion and reduces the appearance of irregularities on the scalp. Hamamelis lotion can extend the time between hair washes, but the goal is not to extend this period to a week or more. The scalp is skin that must be cleaned just like the face. After introduction, if it suits you on an individual level, you can alternate this lotion with Fenugreek and Rosemary Lotion (or an oil pack with Rosemary Clove Scalp Oil once or twice a week). The lotions are not used on the same occasion, but are rotated from wash to wash.

When all conditions are met, it's time to grow
If the scalp has no signs of seborrhea, dryness, itching, sensitivity, excessive oiliness, flaking, or other symptoms, it is a sign that it is in balance and that it is time to stimulate hair growth, in which case targeted products really have a chance and potential for real results. When reducing hair loss and stimulating growth, it is important to keep in mind that the balance of the body itself is also important, as is the aforementioned daily head massage to ensure good blood circulation to the subcutaneous tissue. Apply the fenugreek and rosemary lotion before washing your hair (ideally before training or vigorous physical activity), massage in, let it "work" for up to a few hours, and then wash your hair as usual. To summarize, the priorities in scalp care are as follows:
1. Solve the issue of dandruff, flaking, itching – it is necessary to reduce care to a minimum and introduce Neem lotion against dandruff
2. When there is no dandruff and oiliness is present - it is necessary to introduce Hamamelis lotion against hair oiliness and, if necessary, combine it with growth products (it is ideal to solve one problem at a time)
3. When all conditions are met, hair growth products will "work" best – Fenugreek and Rosemary Lotion and Rosemary Clove Oil can be combined
4. Never apply all of the above products at the same time, but alternate them.
5. All products are used before washing the hair
6. If you have seborrhea, you need to be extra careful about using oils that worsen the condition!
7. Hair needs to be washed often enough to prevent follicles from becoming clogged and dying.
